I was in Nepal for four weeks in Nov-Dec 2007 and I was very lucky to have Prem as a guide and friend throughout my entire stay. When I arrived to Katmandu, Prem picked me up at the airport and took care everything which I appreciated after a tiresome flight. The same night I told him what I wanted to do and experience in Nepal, Prem had a wide variety of options to offer. Together we made up the plans which resulted in one 10 day trek to Annapurna B.C. and another 6 day trek in Langtang. In between the treks I could rest my legs for four days in Chitwan national park with excursions on elephant and motorbike. This turned out to be a superb plan since I really needed to rest after 10 days of intense trekking! Prem has excellent skills in English which made it possible to have deep discussions about everything between heaven and earth. I asked him as much as I could about the history, nature, culture, geography etc. of Nepal and his broad knowledge taught me a lot! I really appreiciated his international perspective from reading and by visiting friends in Europe, which made it even more interesting to discuss the situation in Nepal and the the rest of the world. During my stay I met several trekkers which were jealous of me and my excellent guide, since their own guides only knew very basic English! In conclusion I can highly recommend you to hire Prem as your guide or to organise your stay in Nepal.

I trekked along Ghorepani Circuit of Annapurna region with my guide, Prem Thapa, for 6 days in early October 2007. It was very short time, but my first visit to Nepal became beautiful, wonderful, fun-filled and unforgettable moments. We had not only a wonderful trekking with beautiful Himalayan mountain views and Nepalese country views, but also singing Nepalese songs, dancing Nepalese dances and playing Nepalese flute or drum with Nepalese people or foreign trekkers day and night! We laughed loudly many times making jokes, and kidding each other on trekking. But he took always care so that I did not get hurt or fall sick, too. He speaks fluent English. And he is deeply knowledgeable about his country Nepal. So I could learn a lot of Nepalese culture, climate and Nepalese people from him. Sometimes I strolled feeling soothing atmosphere in deep and beautiful forests, in quiet except birds singing and our footsteps. Oh, yes, if you like bird-watching, you would have a great time for birding on trekking. He had professional experiences of bird-watching guide at Royal Chitwan National Park. This time I made really a good decision to hire him as my trekking guide. Of course I am very looking forward to trekking with him again.

I am happy to recommend Prem’s service to anyone. I spent a month visiting Kathmandu and Patan with him as well as a ten day trek to Langtang and a week in the Terai. Throughout that experience I was impressed with his encyclopaedic knowledge and ability to locate whatever I needed. This man is all you need to have with you in Nepal, a walking swiss army knife and Mr Fixit all rolled into one. He instinctively understands where Westerners are coming from and is thus skilful at bridging the cultural gaps that crop up. Patience and a smiling face are but two of his more obvious assets. It is clear that he is in his element when sharing the delights of his country as well as its hardships with visitors. He is an entertaining and trustworthy individual with a remarkable level of english. You will meet many people on your trek through Nepal but this is one face you will never forget.

When I travelled in Nepal, Prem Thapa was my guide. He was very helpful in Trekking and in Kathmandu cultural tour as well. He knows his country very well and also the way of thinking of occidental people. That’s why he can answer exactly what we are expecting for a visit of Nepal (landscapes, civilisation). He was also able to organise my travels to Chitwan and Pokara. Of course I recommend him to people travelling to Nepal.

I trekked with Prem in November 2005 in the Annapurna region and also had a very memorable tour of Kathamdu under his guidance. Prem took care of all my travel arrangements (i.e. accommodation, transport, trekking, necessary equipment and permits etc.) and thanks to his efforts my short stay in Nepal ran with a level of smoothness that I did not think would be possible in the third world. He was more than a guide. He was an enjoyable travel companion who was considerate of my needs and excellent company in the evenings when we had the opportunity to socialise with other trekkers. I can not imagine a better guide for your trekking and travels in Nepal. I look forward to touring Nepal again in the future with Prem.

I stayed in Kathmandu for 2 weeks. It was my first trip to Nepal and I didn’t know at all Nepalese way of life. Prem Thapa was my guide during this stay. He was always free for me when I wanted to visit the city and buildings as well as walking in the nature around Kathmandu. I keep a very good souvenir of Prem. Thanks to him my stay in Nepal was very pleasant and relax. Knowing him was very important for me because he is opened minded and educated. Some friends, alpinists, could benefit of his several competences as well.
